Avid hikers Cynthia Bennett and her boyfriend adopted their dog Henry back in 2014. At first Bennett was going to pick a golden retriever mix, but then she came across Henry at an adoption event. He was only 14 weeks old, but already five times bigger than the other puppies of the same age. When she entered Henry’s pen he just curled up into her lap, went belly up and flipped his head over her arm. Whether its a person or an animal who dies after you’ve spent a lot of time together, it’s always heartbreaking–this was the case with this beautiful Great Dane from Michigan, Zeus. He won the “tallest dog in the world” title in the Guinness Book of Records in 2012. Zeus, the powerful black Great Dane with a shiny coat, lived for 5 beautiful years. Zeus passed away in September 2014, but is remembered for his loving nature and huge heart.  He was the winner of  the title of “the tallest dog in the world” and is featured in the Guinness Book of World Records. He weighed 165 pounds, and ate 15 pounds of food every week. He was a whopping 44 inches tall and towered over his owner, Kevin Doorlag. "They must have been freezing and it’s a miracle that they survived until they were discovered.” Back in September, Pablo and Penny (then called Pippin and Perdy) were only a few weeks old when someone put them in a bag, brought them to a random neighborhood around 9 at night and dumped them over a wall and into someone’s garden.
